Prior to 2017 two year old and yearling sales, the OData feed for Thoroughbred Catalog, as well as unsponsorred photos and videos on horse profiles, will become premium offerings. Full sales sponsored by sales companies and / or hips sponsored by consignors will still be free for all prospective buyers.
Pricing for premium listings is yet to be determined, but will be a fixed, unlimited, low-price monthly membership.
What will buyers get for premium membership? Many of the most prevalent consignors do not post photos or videos of their weanlings, yearlings, or two year olds in training. As a paid subscriber, you will have access to all photos and videos in our ever-growing database. We attend showing days at sales to get pictures of as many sale horses as possible, so you can do virtual inspections of horses, even after showing hours.
The photos and videos on Thoroughbred Catalog are also key marketing tools for getting RNA horses sold post-sale. This concept became a reality for a consignor who was able to sell, post-sale, a large number of RNA horses to a buyer who was unable to attend the sale. The consignor was contacted by the buyer and she simply referred the buyer to Thoroughbred Catalog for her photos and videos. Offers were exchanged an eventually the deal was done for the purchase.
