In a state well-known for innovative corporations, an organization making its debut in Thoroughbred sales take an innovative approach to delivering its online catalogue.
The Texas Thoroughbred Association will be holding its Texas Yearling and Mixed Sale on August 29th, 2016, at Lone Star Park. This sale marks the first time a sale company has used Thoroughbred Catalog as its searchable and sortable online catalogue index. The TTA-run sale also marks the first sale in recent memory in the U.S. that enables the consignors to post unlimited photos and videos of each consignment, leveraging ready-to-use photo and video upload and storage capabilities, putting the Texas Thoroughbred Assocation on par with or ahead of the technology capabilities of Fasig-Tipton, Keeneland Association, and OBS Sales, all at a fraction of the cost that the major auction houses pay for their web hosting services and developers.
This also means that Fasig-Tipton and the Texas Thoroughbred Association are the only two sale companies in the U.S. providing a consignor directory for their buyers.
Please congratulate the Texas Thoroughbred Association and their sales director Tim Boyce on their willingness to say "Yes" to innovation in delivering their sale catalogue when other sale companies have said "No."
